Quick random music headcanons about Tfrb people. Starting with the Burns family.
Disclaimer: Crude humor. Especially fucking Your Favorite Martian😭
Charlie Burns
Etta James
Paul Anka
The Beatles
He tried to listen to his kids' tastes in music.... just smile and nod.
His favorite song is "I'd Rather Be Blind" by Etta James because it played in a bar when he met his wife back in college.
Kade Burns
Cigarettes After Sex
Arctic Monkeys
Your Favorite Martian
He listens to Britney Spears on the downlow but Heatwave knows.... and he picks on him about it nonstop. Jokes on him though since Kade got to go see Britney Spears live after betting on which lobster can fly the highest.
His favorite song is "Nothing's Gonna Hurt You Baby" by Cigarettes After Sex. It makes him think of Hayley. Also "My Balls" by Your Favorite Martian.... he may or may not have sent it to Hayley when she went away for schooling. Don't worry, she found it funny.
Dani Burns
Marina and the Diamonds
Lana Del Rey
Lil Mariko
She snuck out at 16 to see Marina perform live at the Griffin Rock stadium with her friend. She got busted and grounded, but at least Charlie never found out about that beer incident...
Her favorite song is "SIMP" by Lil Mariko and she WILL blast that shit in Blades' body till he memorizes the song.
Graham Burns
Lemon Demon
Joji
Skeeter Davis
He had a hardcore vocaloid weeb phase when he was 14 and Kade still taunts him till this day about his first "waifu." (It was Meiko.) Good thing Kade has a secret picture of Graham snuggling his Meiko plushie while he was sleeping when he was 14.... oh, and he had braces.
His favorite song is "1 AM FREESTYLE" by Joji because he is lowkey angsting in the corner. (Why does he always look so sad?😭)
Cody Burns
He's a swiftie all the way and refuses to take any teasings from Kade over it.
Wallows
Beach Bunny
The day his dad surprised him with tickets to see Taylor Swift he actually cried. He really loved his 13th birthday. He even got to meet Taylor and has her autograph!
His favorite song is "Love Story" by Taylor Swift.
A/N:
Someone edited Cody with a Taylor Swift song and ever since then, Cody being a Swiftie just... made sense to me. I may do a pt 2 with other characters. Maybe even make playlists from Spotify and link them here!

Cowboy Carter Review
sorry if i write a lot. i like to yap lol
Ameriican Requiem- i'm a huge sucker for a sitar so i was gripped in from the beginning. i grew up on country music (mainly 90s/early 2000s) and so when she showed up at the CMAs and performed with the chicks it was a childhood dream. but as a person who liked country music around the time 9/11 happened, it's only become even more racist since. the way they treated her that night even though she was one of, if not THE, best performer of the night was so upsetting to watch. even as the best artist on the planet, at the top of her game, she's always going to work a million times harder than any of her peers. i'm so proud of her being able to make a song like to this to put her thoughts out on the whole night that night.
Blackbiird- obviously everyone has heard this song before. i was unaware of the actual backstory to the song since i don't follow the beatles too much (i like george harrison but that's about it lol). i was not aware that the song the song was written for black women during the civil rights movement. i assumed the song was mainly written by john lennon who to my knowledge was kind of a grifter when it came to his activism. having this song come right after ameriican requiem is so poetic.
16 Carriages- shockingly i was able to avoid hearing this song in full until tonight. i tend to only do one single per release and so texas hold em was the one. this song is so heartbreaking because i think about all the kids in the entertainment industry who can probably relate to this song all too well
Protector- these songs she makes for her kids... i'm gonna need her to stop. not because they're bad but i straight up can't listen to blue and probably this song because i want a mom like this 😭
My Rose- i hate that this is an interlude. it's so beautiful and not to be dramatic should've been 10 hours long
Smoke Hour • Willie Nelson- idk what to say about this one lol
Texas Hold 'Em- i love this song. the only problem i have with it is it sounds too clean. like the production sounds too clean. maybe it sounds better on the radio where the quality is lower than streaming but its definitely a song that needs to be played not so isolated.
Bodyguard- there's something in this song. she channeled carole king for this on or something. it's so good instantly a top 20 if not top 10 song of hers through her whole discography.
Dolly P- once again idk what to say about this one its too short to say anything
Jolene- i mean i think the same way about her version as i do about dolly's version. why are we getting mad at these women when we should be getting mad at the men?? take away that beyonce is beyonce for a second. if she was a normal lady and this girl was unaware her man was taken, isn't that more on him than anyone? he's letting it happen.
Daughter- her voice in this song is insanity. the control she has is unmatched truly.
Spaghettii- the beat omgggg. i know this would hit so hard in a mashup with "my house" i'm obsessed.
Alliigator Tears- just from hearing snippets of the country music that's on the radio nowadays, i think this might be one of the few songs from this album that they will eat up. i'm not saying that as a diss at all. i love this song alot especially after a second listen.
Smoke Hour II- i guess i can add on here a random tid bit. i made a country playlist in preperation for the album to come out. i made it on valentine's day. tell me why i named it KNTRY. i didn't even know the "radio station" she has on the album was called that lol.
Just for Fun- i don't listen to lana del rey anymore. i had a small time during last year where i did but then she got real messy again and signed that letter thanking joe biden. that being said this song sounds identical to "norman fucking rockwell". which is a compliment because both are good songs. keep jack antonoff away from beyonce though. that's the good thing about beyonce is she doesn't sound like everyone else which he makes everyone do (yes i am a fan of him but i'm critical of his production lol)
II Most Wanted- i'm sorry i've never been a fan of miley cyrus (except for the song she did for black mirror and that one EP she put out). i want to like this song because i like aspects of the song but it being a miley cyrus song with a beyonce feature is not want i want.
Levii's Jeans- this is also a collab i'm not a fan of. i actually enjoy post malone but i would've liked to see them in a more upbeat song.
Flamenco- idk how to take this song. it's stunning as usual. my thoughts on the lyrics though is she's kinda talking to fans maybe like the OG like destiny's child fans who have started to leave because she's starting to experiment more with her sound and they miss her old sound. i would love to know her take on this song in particular. because i know so many artists who decide to change their sound throughout each release are terrified of losing fans because they're so stuck on a certain sound.
The Linda Martell Show- another one i can't say much on since it's an interlude
Ya Ya- now.... remember what i said about bodyguard??? easily top 10. idk where on my ranking but it's there. the interpolation of "these boots were made for walking" and "good vibrations". there's something about that old soul rock sound that gets me every single time. i know that it doesn't sound anything alike but "freedom" has that same vibe, where it takes alot from old 60s blues soul rock. this is gonna hit so good on tour!
Oh Louisiana- i will say i really like this interlude. second favorite out of the ones with actual music
Desert Eagle- another song she chose to make extremely short when it should've been hours long... come on B
Riiverdance- its a fun and cute song. i think the beat is good but i think i like it more on my first listen.
II Hands II Heaven- i'm hoping this will finally click for me. im seeing everyone really love this song but idk whats not clicking for me. i'll definitely keep listening to it though maybe someday.
Tyrant- someone said this is the thique of cowboy carter and yeah i can definitely hear it. it's a sexy song and it's a fun song. definitely like it alot more after a second listen
Sweet • Honey • Buckiin'- her sampling "i fall to pieces" in this song is so special to me. i do want someone to take this "honey" and add it to the end of pure/honey though i wonder if it would sound any good. i think sweet and buckiin are the best songs out of the three of these.
Amen- i love how this really rounds out the album, calling back to the first song. it feels and is a very emotional song. don't know if i'll go back to it only because i think it could make me cry lol
overall, i think it's a solid album. if we're comparing the acts, which idk how you can because they're two distinctly different sounds, i would probably still go with renaissance but there's still so many solid songs on this album that are now some of my top faves. usually i rate out of 10 but it feels too low tbh, so i'm rating it out of 100. it will definitely grow on me just like renaissance did. 89/100.

Get to Know Me Tag :)
I was tagged by @telomeke in their post here. Thanks for the tag! 🥰
do you make your bed?
Yes. To be fair though, I am not a messy sleeper 😅. Let's just say that, in less than a minute, I can make the bed I slept in look like it hadn't been slept in lol 🤣🤣🤣
what's your favourite number?
I was born on the 9th day of the 9th month. Imagine how obnoxious I was back in '99 lol. 😁
what is your job?
Let's just say I'm fortunate enough to have an occupation that lets me do experiments, mix nefarious things, obtain spectacular (fail) results, and get paid while I'm at it 😅
if you could go back to school, would you?
I often describe myself as an infinite learner. So, while it's true that I can learn things outside of uni, there are still some things that I want to comprehend in an academic setting. I mean, how else can I get my hands on a Scanning Electron Microscope, spectrophotometer, and the like?? 😅
can you parallel park?
Yes. Curiously, my parallel park is better than my reverse parking lol.
a job you had that would surprise people?
Not a job, but most people are surprised when I tell them that I used to be a competitive cheerleader/dancer 😅😅😅 Apparently, I don't look "perky" enough lol. Another thing that also surprises other people is when I tell them I used to do theatre and even played the Virgin Mary in a school play back in high school. Again, my resting bitch face is working against me 🤣🤣🤣
do you think aliens are real?
I'll believe when there is definitive proof that there are. And before I get dragged into the mud, the same goes with religious stuff. I might have played the role of the Virgin Mary in a school theatre, but I am agnostic, at best lol.
can you drive a manual car?
Yes. I actually prefer driving manual cars to automatic because I tend to get bored easily and shifting gears helps me focus lol.
what's your guilty pleasure?
I usually drink unlimited amounts of long black coffee during the day and drink beer mixed with vodka before bedtime. But I will prolly live happily ever after if somebody gives me unlimited access to some tasty chicken nuggets lol
tattoos?
I would want some but I don't like needles lol
favorite color?
I like reds, yellows, and blues.
favorite type of music?
Depends on my mood. There are times I like heavy metal. Other times I would prefer classical music. However, I do like The Beatles so their music is always somewhere in my Spotify playlists.
do you like puzzles?
Yes. I used to do cryptograms and logic puzzles while commuting to my uni.
any phobias?
Does fear itself count? 😅 No, the worst that I feel is anxiety. However, I could always convince myself to face whatever it is that is giving me anxiety. For example, I might not like needles, but I can still get my vaccination with little fuss lol.
favorite childhood sport?
Running. I just like getting from one place to another as fast as my legs could carry.
do you talk to yourself?
If I am alone, yes. I even address myself in the third person 😅
what movies do you adore?
I listed some of my faves in a different tag game here.
coffee or tea?
Definitely coffee but my GP is on my ass for having low blood pressure so I am slowly migrating to green tea 😅 😅 😅
first thing you wanted to be growing up?
Pretty sure I wanted to be a librarian because (1) I'll be surrounded by books, (2) I will be able to hear myself think since libraries are quiet, and (3) it's almost guaranteed that I will be (mostly) left alone 😅 😅 😅
Whew. Tagging @dribs-and-drabbles, @lost-my-sanity1, @imlivingformyselfdontmindme, @waitmyturtles and everybody who sees this and wants to play this game 😊

Music asks 2,6 ,20-24
2. what is your go-to karaoke song?
I've only done karaoke properly once because I have to be really drunk to sing (I'm not good at it and I'm self-conscious) and I did Big Shot. Next time I want to do The Bitch Is Back and those will probably be my go-tos.
6. is there/what is a song that you secretly love but you hate to admit it?
No I usually admit it even though it's embarrassing. Like Rockstar by Nickelback.
20. do you have any band t-shirts or other clothing items and what are they??
I have two Billy Joel t-shirts from the concerts I went to! One is from the road (Chicago) and the other is from Madison Square Garden. I don't think I have any other band merch.
21. what is the best album of all time?
The Nylon Curtain (this is such a silly question though there are many equally great albums that are so different from each other they don't compare)
22. what band do you think has the best or most interesting story? (toxic breakup, bandmates in love, etc)
And if I say Attila (1970)..... what then... more serious answer, I am so fascinated by The Beatles, I want to read a book about them (I know there are some I just have to get one)! I know Fleetwood Mac is the obvious choice and them too for sure but I think it diffuses the tension a little when they actually fuck each other.
23. Do you create your own playlists? If so, how many do you have?
Every now and then. I have a bunch on spotify from doing the winners playlists for the Billy Joel Ultimate Song Bracket and for making playlists to share, like the underrated Billy Joel songs sampler (they're mostly Billy Joel related). I have a couple short ones or works in progress on my music library where I actually listen to music, but the only three I use with any frequency are Billy Joel Chronological and my two Billy Joel concert setlist playlists. I do have a 9/19/06 playlist on spotify because I don't own all the songs and also on YouTube because Silver Seas isn't a real song so it's not on spotify. That's the dead best friend playlist but it's called 9/19/06 because it's more cryptic (it's her death date). I like the idea of playlists but I don't know enough music well enough to really make good ones. Maybe someday! Playlists are like mix tapes to me though, I would never ever make one of those giant playlists to listen to all the time. I like listening to albums. Occasionally I'll shuffle, usually a specific artist though. I do make playlists where the order doesn't matter and they can be shuffled but I prefer playlists with a deliberate order.
24. How many hours a day would you say you spend listening to music?
Most days not many! Maybe 1 or 2 at the very most. But some days it's more and there have been more of those lately. I can't really do other things while I listen to music, except specific chores like cleaning, so I can't listen to it a lot. I usually spend a half hour to an hour listening to music while I play NYT games and drink coffee in the morning (it doesn't take that long to do the games but I like dragging out the ritual). If I walk somewhere or take a walk I often listen to music while doing that so that can add an hour. If I'm traveling I usually listen a lot more. But it truly blows my mind that people just listen to music all the time. I literally could not function doing that.

So uh... I haven't really been on here in *checks watch* about two months. However, it appears that time doesn't stop in my absence (very surprising!), so I'm taking this opportunity to do some memes I was tagged in in the interim. Not sure I tracked all of them down, but thanks to at least @thestarsarecool, @boshemians, and @skylikeaflame for tagging me in one or more of the memes under the cut. I'm going to not tag anyone in Beatles fandom since I assume these have circulated more than enough times, but for the sake of cross-fandom-pollination, if @deliciouskeys or @laurieodell wants to do any of these, feel free. Or don't. Anyway.
"things to get to know me" game
Last song I listened to: What Goes Around... / ...Comes Around - Justin Timberlake. Yes he's evil but... come on, we're in Beatles fandom.
Favorite color: I don't really enjoy wearing it or even really looking at it, but my instinctive answer is always red.
Currently watching: The last series I started was Gen V, which is a spinoff of The Boys. It's alright-- if anyone's familiar with The Boys, the feel is more similar to the Starlight storyline than anything else in there, with some added teen drama mystery vibes.
Last movie I watched: Apocalypse Now. War movies aren't exactly my thing, though it's been on my to-watch list for a long time because of Marlon Brando. I also do have a maybe irrational appreciation for anything anti-Vietnam because of how into that movement the Beatles were-- even Paul had to admit that John's anti-war songs maybe slightly had a hint of a point from that angle! I also watched Tár a couple days ago, which I astutely noticed is actually pretty good.
Currently reading: ... :). The book I technically have open is The City and The Pillar by Gore Vidal, but I can't honestly say I'm reading it. Soon!
Sweet/Spicy/Savory: Secret fourth option: sour.
Last thing I googled: Well, I just looked up to see if The City and The Pillar had a film adaptation (motivation to actually finish), and while it doesn't, Wikipedia did inform me that the book itself appears in a movie called Dino at the Beach. Unfortunately, it's Dino as in Bernardino, not as in dinosaur. Very sad.
Current Obsession: Obviously the Beatles, though it's been waning a bit. I'll also say that I recently watched the Adventure Time spinoff Fionna and Cake (partly prompted by seeing you reblog posts about it, Maya! Though that one fanart where Simon Petrikov says he's starting to look like John Lennon was incredibly disturbing to me personally) and I've been thinking about that still on probably a daily basis since.
Current Thing I'm Working On: Myself :). Just kidding, actually the opposite. Actively destroying my psyche by going into John Lennon mode and writing mpreg.
-----------------
"make a playlist from the letters of your username" game
I just typed in each letter into spotify to see what it gave me. I do like all these songs a lot, not sure I would necessarily put them in a single playlist... but an interesting thought experiment to figure out what the theme would be. Perhaps evil mclennon? Is there any other kind?
v - Vampire, Olivia Rodrigo e - Electic Love, BØRNS i - It Will Come Back, Hozier d - Demons, Doja Cat e - Eternal Life, Jeff Buckley l - Love, Keyshia Cole o - Ode To Sleep, Twenty One Pilots n - Northern Downpour, Panic! At The Disco
and a bonus-- the Beatles/Beatles-adjacent songs I filtered out:
v - Venus & Mars e - Eleanor Rigby i - I'm Looking Through You d - Dress Me Up As A Robber e - Every Little Thing l - Lady Madonna o - Oh! Darling n - Not Guilty
Did spotify out me as a McCartney purist (with a rogue George)....... i'm literally not!!! I hate to admit this but my most listened to album last month was fucking Walls & Bridges..... and yet.
-------------------------
Last Line Game
Rules: Make a new post and post your latest/most recent line from your WIP and tag as many people as there are words
I'm actually not cheating and I'm picking my most recently written line.
He doesn’t want anyone gawking at his soul, least of all some quack healer. He’s already well aware that there’s something dead wrong with it– that’s not the issue here.
Riveting stuff, yes? I wish I could get back into John Lennon mode so I could actually finish this chapter... it's been 7 months. Maybe I'll have to wait until the 9th?

9 people you would like to know better
@itischeese tagged me twice, as in both me and @ajhasmademistakes (also me), so here ya go. Of the twenty asks you answered thirteen are from me. of whatever asks you haven't answered a lot of them are from me as well. i can get such super specific numbers by going into the archives, filtering asks only, then subtracting any you reblogged to get a total number of asks and counting up the ones i know i sent. this is probably completely normal behavior.
Three Ships
KakaObi (Kakashi and Obito from Naruto), IruKaka (Iruka and Kakashi from Naruto), and. hmm. ok those two are obvious, to me, but I actually don't know what to put down for the third. Well it just says three ships, doesn't say they have to be your top three ships, so I will put down MadaGai (Madara and Gai from Naruto) just because it's a crackship i think would work.
First ship
Rocketshipping (Jesse and James from PokeAni (pokemon anime)).
Last song I listened to
According to my ipod it is in fact "Get Back" by the Beatles, because I was at work and just put on whatever albums/artists are easy listening for me. Playlist also includes any song on my ipod by The Killers, Muse, or They Might Be Giants, the entire Undertale the Musical by Man on the Internet including Pacifist and Genocide runs, FALLEN: An Undertale Tribute album by the Materia Collective which has since gone the way of its name and fallen from the internet, Hamilton Album, Into the Woods album, Les Mis album, Best of Queen, all the Weather from the first three years of WTNV plus the first four of year four, and so on. the last song i listened to on my computer was Bastille's "The Draw"
Last movie I watched:
oh man this was months ago, it was the Mario Movie. excellent soundtrack. but yeah i don't watch movies or tvshows much.
Last series:
probably steven universe. back when it was airing. i don't watch many shows. and not the new therapy series, the original. oh god, this was before covid happened. i haven't watched a series since covid.
yeah i don't watch tv much. kinda actually hate it in fact. who needs tv when fanfic exists? trust me you don't even need to watch the show to read the fanfic, i've seen one (1) episode of naruto and it's kakashi v obito. I know what I'm about.
Currently reading:
Fanfic. Actually I've been binging llamallamaduck's works, they've got some weird (positive) shit. I also enjoy literally every naruto work by @itischeese.
Last consumed:
Roast beef, Pasta, Broccoli, Oreos, Mints. Dinner.
Currently craving:
sleep? sleep. maybe also fanfics. also even more content of kakaobi as boys, being boys about it.
Oh Yeah the Tagging people thing
uh yeah you don't have to if you don't want, standard disclaimer, but also @miniongrin, @microrockets, @captainkirkk, @chucktaylorupset, @virtualcarrot, @mynameisdoofthelizardandamlesbi, @wafflelate, @insanelyadd, and uh @animetrashmuffin

green emoji asks 🦖🌴🥝? c:
🦖 - what’s your favorite dinosaur?
as a kid I loved any of the ones with really long necks because I loved going to the natural history museum and being in one of the biggest rooms I'd ever seen and there being a GUY whose NECK took up practically the whole length of it all on its own
as an adult, I have a little dino carved from some kind of rock that I keep on my bookcase which I choose to believe is like a low-res stegosaurus even tho the ridges on its back are not individually marked & that specific (vaguely defined) dude is my favorite dinosaur
🌴 - what’s your dream vacation?
Hmm, I don't really feel like I have one? There are plenty of places I know I'd like to go if I ever get the chance but in my mind calling something a dream vacation implies a bit more of a plan than that. (I think that's bc I'm not very good at the whole relax & do nothing kind of vacation - if I'm going somewhere I really feel like I've gotta research all the details before to make sure I'm doing & seeing enough that it's not a waste of time or money. But that includes taking into account seasonal/temporary events/shows/exhibits, and I don't bother looking into those things unless I know I have an opportunity to follow through on them coming up soon, which hasn't been the case for a while now)
But if I stop being fussy about the fact that I'm not actually dreaming about a specific itinerary for five seconds, then the answer's definitely Scotland. Of all the places I want to see, it's got the worst ratio of minutes I've spent in the country (being zero) to number of things I want to see there, from whole cities and areas down to individual museums, historical sites, places relatives came from, national parks, and even distilleries. But it's also way too much to fit into one trip, so I think of wanting to go there as less of a specific vacation than other things I want to do less badly but can at least conceive of more clearly - like saying that in the fall, I hope to visit a relative's house in the mountains and spend a few days in a little town with a nice cider mill.
🥝 - what’s your music taste like?
A mess! Really, I'm so bad at putting music in categories. My main playlist is literally called What's a Genre - and it's 90% Irish & Scottish bands (though even saying that feels misleadingly homogeneous, since I can count everyone from the Dubliners to Hozier & the Tannahill Weavers to the Proclaimers that way) but there's also other things that kinda maybe fit there, like The Amazing Devil (and Robert Hallow & the Holy Men? does anyone know if they still exist?) and The Decemberists, and then ones that even I know don't belong there, like ELO and MCR. And that's just the one playlist. If I'm working from home, my go-to is Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald & co for some reason. When it comes to decades, I tend to favor 60s pop (or is it rock? I'm not sure I know the difference), and I'd take the Kinks over the Beatles - but I also keep them on a playlist with ABBA, David Bowie, Queen, and They Might Be Giants (which is mainly for both cleaning & hanging out with friends). I also still own & regularly listen to a lot of music from different genres whose only unifying factor is 'was actively on the radio when i was in middle school.' And I'd be lying to make myself sound cooler if I didn't also admit that I have a pretty sizable library of cast albums & show tunes, which I'll also shuffle through like any other playlist. The last album I bought was Skerryvore's Tempus that came out last week, the only concert I've been to as neither a friend nor a worker was Billy Joel. I think the Waterboys might be my most 'any context, any mood' safe to put on in the background to vibe with w/o getting distracted, especially Fisherman's Blues. When I'm not looking to listen to something very specific, the only deterrent from putting my entire library on shuffle is the fact that random Big Finish audio tracks will play if I do that.
So I think the friends who've called it 'eclectic' were being generous, but I also don't have any better descriptors to offer up.

-͟͟͞☆ I ship you with Castiel! I went back and forth on this one (I also considered Charlie and Ruby, but they weren't 100%). You like someone who's a bit more serious but still capable of humor and decisiveness. I think Cas is unintentionally hilarious, and you'd probably get so many funny moments with him. He's also fiercely loyal, determined, and kind. He'd be able to take some of that pressure off your shoulders. He'd also LOVE to hear about your passions.
-͟͟͞☆ Headcanons:
You show him all your favorite movies, especially old school horror. He tries to make references and never quite gets it right, but you find it endearing anyway.
He likes to collect little things for you. Sometimes it's as simple as an acorn ("Several squirrels seemed interested in it, which must mean it's of top quality." "Thanks Cas....") but other times he'll find really interesting books you might like, or baked goods.
-͟͟͞☆ Tropes:
dreamer x realist
love at first sight
-͟͟͞☆ Playlist:
about you the 1975
wasteland, baby hozier
august taylor swift
Tumblr media
-͟͟͞☆ I ship you with Diego! Diego is kind of insane but in a really fun way. He's committed to his ideals, mostly competent, but also willing to rise to any challenge. I mean, he was willing to step up and be the father to some kid he never met (even if he did a kind of TERRIBLE job at it). He'd be the push you need while never making you feel pressured to be something you're not. He's so encouraging of your passions and thinks everything you do is super hot (he won't shut up about it).
-͟͟͞☆ Headcanons:
You guys will do film marathons. He's secretly kind of a wimp when it comes to horror, but he really enjoys the romcoms.
Sometimes, you'll make him go through the motions of complex movements so that you can get references for your animations. He actually enjoys it, often bragging that he's an "action star."
You're kind, and people respect you, which is how you got him unbanned from multiple restaurants across the city (don't ask why he was banned).
-͟͟͞☆ Tropes:
Diego: Kill a few people!
You: no
Diego: Kill one guy. One stupid guy who no one loves!
-͟͟͞☆ Playlist:
I'm with you avril lavigne
can't buy me love the beatles

i didn't understand her. deep down, i don't think i wanted to. it was part of her allure i think. the fact that i didn't know anything about her. isn't life better that way? when you don't know anything about someone, they can be whatever you want them to be. but when you've met them, spoken to them, then they're set in stone. you like them, or you don't. she could have been anything. she could have been smart, or dumb, or kind, or a total bitch.
she was everywhere, and i mean that literally. she wasn't part of any clubs, but she was always in the background of pictures i took. sometimes i look at them, spending an embarrassing amount of time trying to figure out why she was there. trying to figure out anything about her, really.
she smiled when it rained. and when i saw it, it was like my world had turned on its axis, however disgustingly cliche that may sound. it was small, it was sweet, it was perfect. i wonder if she'd noticed me staring those days. in a way, i hope she did. it would mean she knew i existed, even if she never spoke to me.
is it weird to miss something you never really had? because when we moved i missed her. i missed seeing her, passing her in hallways and sidewalks, feeling the wave of french perfume she enveloped herself in whenever we brushed close to each other.
she was cerebral. she moved with too move confidence to be accidental, but she never betrayed her nonchalance. the grey area between the black and white swan. not as innocent and daisy-fresh as the swan queen herself, but not as lustful and envious as her sister. she was beautiful and elegant and raw and the pinnacle of all things desirable. no lies passed her sugar lips because nothing passed them at all.
she was a doll, perfect and delicate. like one of those antiques you see displayed proudly through frosted windowpanes. the ones you smile at intrigue before catching sight of the monstrous price tag tied to its leg. i wonder what her price tag was, what could possibly hang at risk of chasing somebody away. i'll never know, and i'll never be able to guess either because i know that, if i had the chance to know her, nothing could make her seem unworthy of complete adoration.
i can't look at my music collection anymore. not after all the mixtapes i made with the intent of her listening to. the ones full with the beatles and the ink spots and any other remotely romantic songs i could think of in hopes of her knowing how i felt without actually having to say it. i don't think i'd be able to say it. not just because she rendered me speechless, but because there wasn't any words that could show how i saw her.
she was everything the world could offer. the good, the bad, the upfront, and the mysterious. she was everything. my everything. even now, in whatever happens after death, she remains the same. still everything. still my everything.

What is it about BTS’ music (and them in general) that does it for you? I feel like you’ve mentioned before that you aren’t really a fan of many other, if any, K-POP groups, so I was just curious what exactly it is that attracted you to them? There are so many other talented groups out there, but it’s almost like BTS has a stronghold on the industry and K-pop fans. I’m a huge fan of BTS, but I’m also a fan of all of NCT’s subunits, BP, Stray Kids, etc., and in many aspects, they’re just as talented as BTS. So for you specifically, what’s so special about BTS?
I think there's been a misunderstanding here and maybe you're confusing me with someone else, but I don't remember saying I'm not a fan of other K-Pop groups. I think I actually answered a question a few months ago specifically about that. I do listen to other K-Pop groups and solo artists, it's just that I'm not talking about them extensively on this blog and I don't have the amount of knowledge on them, compared to BTS. It has nothing to do with them being talented, but me ignoring them because BTS is more special. I'll get into why I stuck with BTS, but before that, I'll explain how I decide to get into a group and it has nothing to do with a so called reluctance to K-Pop in particular.
I mentioned this before, but the previous band I really got into was Pearl Jam, way back when I was in college. Of course that meant my primary focus was on that band, but it also introduced me to grunge and the other bands that emerged during that period. I automatically got my history lesson, I had songs from other bands in my playlist, but 80 percent of it was Pearl Jam, 10 percent Nirvana and the rest were other songs. It had nothing to do with my reluctance or dislike of other bands. It was just that my mind was set for like 2 or 3 months only on one band and that was it. I couldn't get out of that. And then it slowly faded and I moved on to other stuff and I went back to my usual playlist which is more diverse.
The same thing happened with BTS. The reasons why I stuck with it and didn't grew out of it after a couple of months it's because they're an active group with an incredibly big library of intermedia content. That's what kept me here, not just the music. If it were just that, I'd have probably forgotten about BTS by now. Just look at the focus on this blog. I may answer random questions from a fan perspective, but the topics in my bio are the ones that actually interest me here.
And I'll be honest with you. BTS's music is not special to me. It doesn't impress me, just like the majority of pop songs don't. I still like pop music, I listen to it on a daily basis. I'm not some stuck up purist that stays away from everything that's fun, but at the end of the day, if someone would ask me to make a top 10 of my favorite songs/artists/bands, BTS wouldn't be there. Nor Lady Gaga, Beyonce, The Beatles or whatever big name is out there that everyone knows. This has more to do with my personal taste and what I believe is the type of music that has an impact on me as an individual. Not an objective statement about the quality of that music. I like songs where I can clearly hear the instruments and I don't mind a 5 minute guitar or drum solo. Lyrics that tell a story, closer to prose. If I want a commentary on societal issue that is close to my own beliefs and the shape in which I want to hear that, I'll listen to Pink Floyd. If I want a story that could instantly make me cry I would play some Joni Mitchell, Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen, Cat Stevens, Simon and Garfunkel. If I want a good guitar solo, I will choose Prince, David Gilmour, Jimmy Page or Jimi Hendrix. I think you get my drift. That's were my affinities lie in terms of the music that I will listen to until I get old because it's the type that speaks to me. I don't even listen to it daily. I usually choose a basic pop songs playlist that can include BTS, other K-Pop groups and Western Pop.
And now that I got that big chunk out of the way, no, I don't believe BTS is the best out there and I don't think their music is the most special out there. I never did and that's not something that ever crossed my mind. Not even when I used to listen to them daily. They have good albums and others less than good, just as any other group. Their lyrics don't speak to me, but that's once again, a personal opinion. It doesn't mean I don't see why they have an impact on other fans and how they can be incredibly complex in some of the songs. I can give credit where it's due. I think they can put on some amazing performances and stages, without any doubt, but not all of them are. They're not perfect or special to me in terms of their music.
I think what contributed a lot to their success is their use of social media and the intermedia content. Big Hit was smart and knew how to use that in order to build a strong bridge between the group and their fans. As with other groups as well, but particularly with BTS, the parasocial relationship is crucial. Fans are not actively engaged every single day only because they like the music, but because they like the men behind it. Because they're nice guys and they're funny and cute and relatable and a miriad of other reasons which are clearly not just about music.
BTS has a stronghold on the industry because they made it big, including in the West, on a scale that other groups can now pursue as well. BTS didn't open the gates, but they clearly broke down some walls and made the door bigger. But this is just in terms of breaking out in the West and having that type of validation in mind which in my opinion, should not be the number one indicator of success or quality of music. BTS are the gateway to K-Pop. They are the mainstream and some fans get stuck at the entrance and others choose to explore other rooms. And perhaps it's difficult or they simply don't want to move on because the relationship with BTS is already deeply established and it's stronger.

Eren listens to either rock music or whatever just happens to be on the radio at the time. I hate to be basic here but he listens to bands like The Beatles and Led Zeppelin, but he's not opposed to bands like Arctic Monkeys and The Cure. He's one of those guys that wear those low-cut underarm tank tops and bashes his head to the song while he's driving.
Armin, on the other hand, prefers softer pop songs like Ricky Montgomery and Lewis Capaldi. He likes to listen to the slow, sad songs that aren't totally straight forward with the message. Mostly so he can cry over them in the car when he's feeling down or depressed. He does that a lot.
Mikasa likes those classic sad emo girl songs like Paramore's 'Emergency' and 'Perfect' by Simple Plan. Eren makes fun of her for this like you have no idea. When they're in the car together, Eren skips all of the songs until he reaches the end of her playlist, switching over to his.
Jean likes heavy rock like Eren and soft emotional songs like Armin. This man has a playlist with such different genres of music on it that it'll give you whiplash. It'll go from Green Day, to Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, to All Time Low. Sometimes there's a few Disney classics thrown in there to spice it up. The first time you take a car ride with him, it freaks you out and simultaneously amuses you how one man could have so many music interests.
Connie likes rap music of any kind. He thinks he's the best shit since he can 'sing along' with it, but he can't. He just mumbles out a bunch of garbage that he pretends are the words. Don't tell him that though, because he'll either get defensive or he'll cry there's no in between.
Connie and Sasha may be best friends, but their tastes in music can't be more different. Sasha likes to listen to K-Pop and anime theme songs. No, there's no convincing her that they're all not as good as she thinks they are, just let her enjoy them.
Hange likes hard rock/screamo music. They'll blast Pierce the Veil out of their room at all hours of the day, making Levi lose his fucking mind. He'll knock on her door until she turns it down or until she opens the door for him and he marches inside to turn it down for them.
Erwin listens to Christian pop music. This is the hill I choose to die on. He unironically sings it in the car, the shower, the kitchen when he's cooking. Hange and Levi can't get away from it. They want to rip their ears off. Send help.
Levi, surprisingly enough, has the same/similar music tastes as Eren and Jean. He likes to sing along to Disney songs -especially the musicals- like The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, dare I say Frozen. He is a grown fucking man that listens to 'Love Is an Open Door' in the shower and sings along like a five-year-old hyped up on Pixy Stix's. Imagine this, you see him driving down the street and are stopped next to him at a traffic light. He rolls down his windows. You expect to hear heavy metal based on his appearance, but instead 'That's How You Know' from Enchanted blasts from his window.
Mike listens to dub-step. He hooks his phone up to his car and plays an hour long video of dub-step mix. He has a playlist of just dub-step remixes of songs and puts it on shuffle sometimes. He likes to be able to bob his head when he drives, at least now he doesn't look crazy.
Tumblr media
Reiner is the king of crying himself to sleep with sad love songs. Lewis Capaldi, Adele, 'Be Alright' by Dean Lewis, the 'If I Die Young' cover by Michael Henry and Justin Robinett. Please get him therapy. Or a girlfriend. Both. Probably both. He sits in his car at night and plays them on repeat until he cries, it helps made him feel better.
Pieck is a basic bitch that likes the generic pop songs that air on the radio. She doesn't care what she listens to really, as long as the beat is nice she'll enjoy it. Whether it be Taylor Swift-esc songs or the occasional rap song, sometimes even Jason Derulo.
Porco likes to think hes all tough and manly by saying he listens to rap and hard rock, but in reality he likes 5 Seconds of Summer and All Time Low. He listens to the alternative channel (think Alt Nation on SiriusXM). He wants to be a drummer for a band at some point, so he's definitely that kid that taps his pencils against the desk or drums his fingers on his steering wheel.
Falco thinks he's cool because he listens to Alt music that the 'plebs' haven't listened to yet. He's that poser everyone has in their middle school classes that makes fun of people that are content with the music on the normal channels.
When I say Colt is a big softie, I mean he is a big softie. He and Armin like to take late night drives places, talking about nothing and everything which Ricky Montgomery playing in the background. They go and get McDonald's together and sit in the parking lot, chatting away until they realize it's three AM.
Annie actually really likes techno/electronic style songs. She's really picky about the ones she listens to though. Most of the time she dances to them though, or she jams out to them in the car if she's alone. But overall, she's not the biggest music fan.
Udo unapologetically enjoys folk/country music. Falco makes fun of him so much for it like that child is an asshole- Udo will be in his room and blast 'Black Lung' by The Dead South until Falco screams across the hall. He may be quiet, but he's 12 years old and an asshole.
Zofia likes Rihanna and Ariana Grande. She's actually respectful and puts in headphones when she listens to her playlist, unlike her two asshole neighbors.
Bertolt is a sweet boy that listens to mainstream pop music and video game songs. He likes to listen to the nature noises and background music of open world games, they help calm him down if his anxiety gets really bad, and they help him fall asleep. It's a big comfort/coping mechanism for him. He falls asleep with his earbuds in almost every night. This sweet boy. This sweet boy, just tuck him in and kiss his forehead when you put him to bed.

ok you know i love my grumpy girls but snow's class combo sounds FASCINATING so i have to know more :D :D 8 - 10, 12, 20, 28, 60 and 69!
Snow is one of the wildest characters I've ever made, she's mechanically a winter eladrin but is flavor-wise human but Extra. and also she is literally Snow White but based very specifically off that Kristen Stewart movie ANYWAY
8) what songs remind you of them? if there are specific lyrics or movements, list ‘em!
i Love making playlists for my characters so i have been very slowly working on hers but there's only a couple right now. Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles for the upbeat vibes because she is generally a cheerful girl
and Still by Noah Kahan for the fact that her life has basically been miserable for a hella long time (the past coming back with the light in the morning/look down on myself like a patient in surgery/and i used to watch my mother move/like god was in the room)
9) when in their life were they most scared?
okay SO about a hundred years ago, Snow's brand new step-mom killed their dad and took over the kingdom and killed and imprisoned everyone in it, and threw Snow into a cell, and there was a part of that where she was running and nearly at the gate and then got snatched up and dragged back into the castle and i think that was probably the most acutely terrified she's ever been
10) what inspired this character's creation?
lmao okay SO my friend and i watched that 2011 red riding hood movie with amanda seyfried and he went "i could make a dnd character outta this" and then like changed up the lore a ton and made Red, who's family is Super Cursed. and then we watched the snow white and the huntsman movie with kristen stewart bc for some reason in my head i've literally always confused those two for like being in the same universe? or something?
anyways we watched it and i went "hey, i could make a dnd character outta this!" and actually Snow's backstory is fairly accurate to the movie with the minor changes of she is technically an elf now so she was imprisoned for a hundred years, and also her blood can break curses (but it might kill her)
and then we looked at each other and went "these two would be fun in a campaign together"
12) how have they altered their body? piercings, tattoos, biohacks, or other modifications—anything. why (or why not) did they (or someone else) make those changes?
Snow hasn't had the opportunity to do anything to her body and also has a very... warped sense of her physical self? because she is magically/divinely mandated as Fairest Of Them All (and her beauty is literally magical hence the sorcerer levels) so she's just always been treated that way, as the Prettiest Thing Ever and that has really divorced her sense of self from her body. so i don't think she's even really thought about the fact that she could technically do any of those things? it hasn't crossed her mind, really. i DO think further down the line when she gets a little more grounded in her body she would definitely do something though. piercings for sure, maybe tattoos??
20) what attracts them to someone—platonically and/or romantically, anything counts.
Snow had a childhood love (dead now RIP) and she loved him because of his sense of adventure and his honor and his dedication to things, and his laugh
a hundred years later she met his granddaughter (in her 40s with a kid i think) and liked her because of her love for her kid and her practicality, and her sense of justice and responsibility to take care of others
generally Snow likes people who are devoted to important things, who have a strong will, who care deeply, and who fight- not just for the world but also for themselves.
28) do they collect anything?
Snow is not quite conscious of it yet but i as her player have made the decision that she's gonna collect items from each adventure we go on (so far it's a spider fang and an eternally frozen leaf). its one of those things where again she never had the chance to but once she realizes she CAN she'll definitely want to.
60) what do they have faith in? what keeps them believing?
i don't know how to word what i wanna say here but like the one thing that has kept Snow going for all this time is that she very much does Not Want To Die. she wants to live. so i think her faith is in herself and also the future, the idea that there are things to live for once she finds them. there's also her faith in her kingdom and her people, both of which she needs to rescue from the evil queen. so its her own stubbornness that keeps her believing that there IS a way to do it without sacrificing herself
69) what's one secret they don't want getting out?
Snow is on the run so most things about herself she keeps close to the chest so that the queen won't hear about her and come running
but the number one actual thing that she will need to be pushed into THE most desperate of corners to admit is that her blood can break curses. because its incredibly powerful but also incredibly dangerous and could kill her depending on the curse, and its not something she's willing to risk so people knowing about it would just be dangerous

✨ aaa an account i follow shared your event and i wanna say congratulations!! i hope you dont mind me requesting this since i’ve only just recently followed you :)
im a 19 year old female (but i use any pronouns) with dyed ginger upper back length hair and blonde/platinum blonde peekaboo highlights and the same colour curtain bangs! im 5'3, ivory skin tone, freckles on my nose during warmer and sunny days. i have dimples. i have heterochromia so one eye is olive green and the other one is brown. my body is hourglass shaped and im bigger in the chest and thigh area. when it comes to my clothing, i dress myself in grunge inspired style, but sometimes i love to go for goblincore or cottagecore dresses!
my mbti is INTP, enneagram 5W4 and im a cancer sun, aquarius moon and capricorn rising. im bisexual with a preference for men and my love languages are quality time and physical touch.
now moving on to my interests and hobbies! in my free time, i enjoy reading. I'm a huge bookworm and i own so many books that i have read, plan to read and haven't even touched yet but collecting books is a passion of mine. my favourite genres of books are romance, mystery and young adult books, but i also have a deep love for classics. i also love drawing and painting (since i went to an art school so all of that was a huge part of my life). going to musems and similar places where you can spend your time and enjoy your surroundings is something i really value and enjoy to do; either alone or with a S.O! i love music a lot too. my spotify playlists all vary from classic rock, heavy metal to classical music which i often love to use for daydreaming when im meant to study for college :D my favourite bands are pink floyd, led zeppelin, fleetwood mac, the beatles and my favourite singer is lana del rey! i love crystals and crystal work and i practice and do tarot and tarot readings often, thats kinda a hobbie of mine :) i study english langauge and teaching at university. i write poems and short stories but am too scared to publish them :)
i think thats everything! so thank you so very much for reading this and thank you so much if you decide to do mine!! good luck with your job and have an amazing day!! <33
hey hey, thank you so much for joining the event! of course i don't mind, welcome to the blog and i hope you enjoy the regular chuuya stuff once we return to regular programming!
chuuya love for you:
absolutely loves the way you look! he is FLOORED all the time with how pretty his s/o is. it's less about being the traditional standard of beautiful- in the sense that yes, he does find you attractive- but just something about your looks takes his breath away. it's on a whole different level. mesmerized simp, this man.
you wouldn't know- unless i told you, like i'm doing right now- but chuuya has this habit of his before you come out of the house with him for a date where he tries to guess what you're wearing. actually he does this all the way back in his penthouse, but he really just wants to guess what kind of way you'll dress up so he can "meet you in the middle." it's a game he sucks at, at first, but then he gets better at eventually.
library. library in the penthouse. want floor to ceiling shelves? yeah. a daybed in the middle of the library shelves? why not. oh wait you'd prefer a swing? no yeah of course. literally build your dream library in your pinterest board and chuuya's going to make it come to reality. he loves being able to be the one to hold the things that make you happy.
he does not run out of questions about your art school. he's nosy as hell about it. he's just so interested in it because he wants to compare the experience with how it was growing up for him homeschooled by the mafia. he's so invested in your stories and your interactions with people because he didn't really have that in his life, and somehow he is living it vicariously through your stories.
is so thankful you're appreciative of art. i headcanon chuuya has a thing for art as well so it's just very nice for him to be able to share it with an s/o. museum visits! art shows! dance recitals! orchestras! he's dragging you EVERYWHERE he can and he loves that you enjoy it as well.
also is very invested in your own art! whether that's your writing or your painting/drawing, he always makes sure to show up and tell you that he adores what you do. whether or not you show it; he adores it because it was made by you.
would want to listen to your expansive playlists on spotify. if you give him access, he's definitely working with it in the background whenever he can on more idle days in the port mafia headquarters. it makes him feel closer to you in a way.
your university tuition's been paid btw. oh you're on a scholarship? great, your tuition for your masters have been paid. what? not studying it yet? no don't worry it's paid should you want it. i promise. nothing to worry about.
overall, i think a really fun relationship really! bathed in art and the quiet kind of excitement you get from watching it, you being with chuuya just makes sense as you can remind him of creature comforts when he's not a port mafia weapon.

Here's my Spotify wrapped and also a PSA
I need to start with some weird backstory. I hate Dream and the dsmp and actively avoid and ignore that content. I don't mind seeing nice fanart and there's nothing wrong with liking it, I just have bad associations from my ex so I'd rather avoid it personally. I do watch Wilbur Soot's videos but don't regularly listen to his music. This information will be important later on.
Spotify wrapped 2021
Tumblr media
Okay makes sense so far, The Beatles threw me off and I blame @al-arts for that. He's also why Elton John is my new favorite and heartrob.
Lemon Demon and Tally Hall are just always bangers, and remind me of Oingo Boingo on hallucinogenics. I also mostly have @turing-tested to thank for those 🤜 thanks bro
I was obsessed with Mother Mother, still am. I'm actually going to their Arizona concert in January, 2022. One of my favorite playlists is just all their songs on Spotify and I can sing along to every one.
My eyes BULGED a bit at 70,000 minutes but we'll get to that. Seriously though, Mother Mother.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Out of 1,054 they were my favorite BY FAR. And it seems I was theirs too! Top .005%?? I was thinking, that's gotta be like 10 people right..? No. No it's more like 35,000, still though!
I also listened to A LOT of them.. actually I listened to A LOT of music in general.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
20,000 minutes of Mother Mother... That's 13.4 DAYS of Mother Mother.
70 thousand minutes in total...
42.... Days... I am mentally ill
Then it got weird....
Tumblr media
Listen, no matter who you are or what side you are on I know what you are thinking when you see that image. And we are gonna talk about the giant ELEPHANT in the room... Last
#1 Indie Pop - yea, Elton John, Some Mother Mother, Lil Nas X, ect
#2 Modern Alternative Rock - Most Mother Mother and a ton of skilled smaller artists.
#4 Steampunk?? Huh?? Well I looked up Spotify's playlist for the genre and... Yea, This FUCKS. I still can't explain it, I understand it but.. yea, no, I can't explain it.
#5 Broadway - I know it's an acquired taste, but seriously I don't care who you are go listen to Hadestown. Right now seriously. I listened to a lot of that this year, also the Jekll and Hyde musical, fantastic piece of male Opera and an interesting take on the story (though not totally loyal to the original) and of course I listened to a lot of Phantom of The Opera, my grandma use to listen to and watch it with me, I sing Opera now because of her :)
And now the PSA we've all been waiting for..
#3 Dream SMP??? What?? What does that even mean? and how is that a genre? and most importantly?
WHY IS IT IN MY TOP 5? WHY IS A FANDOM I ACTIVELY AVOID, A "GENRE" IN (MY) SPOTIFY WRAPPED? WTF???
That was my first thought, then I calmed myself down, there had to be a rational explanation. I like Wilbur but not his music, only a few songs a WHILE ago... But... No, it still didn't make sense.
So I sent it to the group chat, low and behold two other people also had it in their top 5, with no idea what it meant, one of which also didn't like dream.
So I put on my detective cap and... Guys....
Okay so Spotify has two genre related features you should know about.
It allows any song to classify as multiple genres, which makes sense, most songs could be more than one genre.
It also allows new genres to be created, which also makes sense! Genres are created and songs are reclassified all the time.
The problem occured when somehow, someone, submitted and was approved for a genre called 'Dream SMP'
That genre includes these 100 songs.
Listen, I understand having fandom centric spaces and art but this could have been a playlist, it shouldn't be a genre.
Most of the songs on there are just general shippy songs or indie rock, nothing on the playlist is explicitly about dsmp.
The only things that would 'fit' under a genre like that is fan songs, and Wilbur Soot's music if he agreed to that.
Thanks for coming to my PSA, Hydrate, relax your shoulder and jaw, take your meds, are you forgetting about your laundry?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also stream Business Man by Mother Mother on Spotify and please use the discover weekly function, it's so useful.

thank you so much for the tag @lonesomecipher !! ✨
1. What is the first song you remember hearing?
Definitely a classical music piece, most likely Prokofiev or Mozart cuz my mom would play loads of classical music for me to fall asleep to as a kid.
2. What is the first band you got into?
The Beatles, when I was 11. Back then I was super into 80s pop music, and then my interest started shifting to even older music.
3. Do you collect any physical music?
Yes! 99% of what I collect are albums in CD form, and just a couple vinyls, one of which was gifted to me, cuz I have nothing to play vinyl on. Even though I try not to indulge too often, I do love going to the record store and buying albums a few times a year.
4. What is your favourite piece of music memorabilia?
Probably this Metallica Ride the Lightning flag I've got hanging on the wall above my bed. One of my favourite albums of all-time. And it moves with the wind when I open my window :')
5. The favourite concert you've been to?
I've been to 3 concerts in my life and although seeing System of a Down live was incredible, Metallica was my favourite concert purely because of how ecstatic I was to see my favourite band ever live. And they were amazing, as well. Only made better by the fact that I was able to share this fabulous experience with my mom, as all the concerts I've been to were with her. <3
6. If you could see one artist who is no longer alive in concert, who would it be?
Tough question cuz I could give so many answers, so either Queen with Freddie Mercury or Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio.
7. Have you met any musicians?
No, those concerts were the closest I got :D
8. What's your go to album when you're feeling sad?
There's actually quite a few, but the first one that springs to mind is Morningrise by Opeth.
9. What's your go to album when you're feeling happy?
Nothing in particular- on the contrary, when I'm happy is when I'll listen to anything and everything cuz I'll just be in the mood for music in general.
10. One music documentary you love?
I could list all the Metallica documentaries. I don't have a specific favourite that comes to mind right now.
11. What is one concert DVD that you love?
Quebec Magnetic.
12. Do you prefer listening to playlists or albums?
Albums 100%. I never make playlists and don't have any. I usually either listen to my entire music library on shuffle, click on specific artists in my library or listen to specific albums.
13. Do you listen to albums in order or on shuffle?
When I listen to an album, it's always in order. It would feel wrong otherwise. Plus many artists think so carefully about the order of their songs and the way they flow into the next song in order to tell a story, so I have to listen in the right order.
14. What is your favourite deep cut song by your favourite artist?
I keep saying it but either Ever Be or Starting Over by Korn, both of which are on their very underrated Untitled album. Idk why fans of the band never gave this album a chance- perhaps because it's slightly different from their original style, but in my opinion it's a musically more mature and complex album than what they'd done previously, and those two songs are beautifully crafted.
15. What is your favourite CD/ cassette/ vinyl you own in terms of its packaging?
For this question I must include a picture of said album I own- an Opeth limited edition My Arms Your Hearse tin case that contains the album.

I got it second hand a few years back for a ridiculously low price cuz apparently its previous owner had sold it to the record store I often go to. I immediately jumped on it. It's beautiful, in good condition, and I love the embossed Opeth logo.
